7 Segment Interface with PIC Microcontroller as Up Counter

This very simple project for new user of PIC microcontroller or advance. Here i just want to show how to interface 7-segment Display with PIC controller. Not any big application like Dr. Counter in clinic or Bank tailor etc.

Description:

There are two types of 7 segment one is Common anode and second one is common cathode. In common anode all 7 leds anode terminals are common and controller provide 0 level to On led and +Vcc applied to common terminal of 7 segment. But in common cathode is inverted behavior of common anode. see in following diagram.

Pin out is also mentioned on the above diagram.

I have just create an up counter application with push button, PIC controller 16F84A and 7 segment.
