Unlatching function in LogixPro Simulator

 

Unlatching function means to do off and hold the load or Reset the load until latch or set by other push button.

We can make unlatching by using Boolean algebra too. Here I am sharing the Boolean equation for unlatching function.

As we know 

A + B = Y -----I

Here A and B are inputs but Y is output and this is the function of OR logic.

let make a feed back loop on 2nd input B = Y 

Now the Equation will be 

A + Y = Y -----II

Initially Y = 0

Then we make high logic on A = 1 by any push button

Then resultant Y = 1 for ever as we discussed in previous post of Latching the Load by Boolean Algebra.

Unlatching function by Boolean Algebra:

Now we are going to do it Unlatch by Boolean algebra just by adding one more function in above Boolean expression.

(A + Y) . B' = Y -----III

In above expression III B is complemented variable and connected with push button.

By Using Latching Unlatching function:

By using built-in function of latching unlatching its very simple to set reset the load by using push buttons.
